Good morning, The atonement of sin.... aren't we thankful that Jesus loves us enough to help us even when we sin. His mercy is amazing. Hard for me to feel worthy sometimes, but I know that Jesus loves me despite my mistakes. Out of time ... it's a Monday. Prayers for our world today, that we would all be ready and prepared for whatever is to come. God Wins. Have a blessed day.

Good morning, Going to postpone The Bible Recap until after Church. But the reading today is.. The Bible recap reading: Exodus 39 - 40 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 43 Prayers for our families, our communities, our nation, the nations of the world. And for all those people who specifically are out there trying to undermine everything God is doing, and has been doing, through HIS people. May we all see TRUTH, Lord Jesus, and TRUST in YOU and YOU alone. GOD WINS! There is a video series that keeps popping up in my YouTube feed where the guy who claims to be a Christian, is throwing shade on EVERYTHING and EVERYONE in the Christian world. Including The Chosen, which he claims is being run by a "cult" and is leading us all astray. Including many in the Christian Music world who he claims is sending dark messages in their music. Are Christians in the entertainment world perfect? Of course not, no one is. But can God use imperfect people? Absolutely. If he couldn't, we would ALL be in trouble. I have no respect for anyone whose only goal in life is to undermine everything and everyone trying to send a message of hope and faith out there to encourage people and lead them to Jesus. I finally had to block the channel. I have far more trouble with HIM than I do with anyone he is throwing shade at. Have a blessed day! The Bible Recap Reading Exodus 36 - 38 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 42 Do you ever have trouble reading through all the details in the book of Exodus? I admit, I do. Tara-Leigh in her podcast gives us all the reasons why we should rejoice in it though, even though it can be dry to read through. The symbolism in some of these furnishings and items described being important to the coming Messiah. There is so much to notice that I have never noticed before, I guess... You know what I was thinking about while reading through this.... right before the Podcast, I saw a new preview for The Jesus Revolution... the final one before the movie is released in Theaters on February 24th. Seriously, the timeliness of this movie is amazing to me. And proof that GOD truly is not only where the JOY is.. but fully engaged in the happenings of our world right now. The Jesus movement was considered a "Spiritual Awakening". Some have been talking about this dark time we are in right now as being the thing that will usher into the NEXT Spiritual Awakening. We are on the verge...so fitting that God would remind us of the 70's Jesus Movement right now. In February 2023. I haven't been this excited for a movie to come out since "I Can Only Imagine" a bunch of years ago. This is the kind of movie that NEEDS to be supported in theaters! If you only pay to see one movie this year... make it Jesus Revolution! God's hand is on this one.... I can feel it! And HE is where the JOY is! Have a blessed day! The Bible Recap Reading: Exodus 33 - 35 The Bible Recap Podcast for Day 41 Exodus 33:11 "And so the Lord used to speak to Moses, face to face, just as a man speaks to a friend". This scripture jumped out at me while I was reading. THIS is why we need to spend time in GOD'S word every day. Because HE WANTS to be near to us. Every day. How better to be close to GOD then to be in HIS Word learning from HIM - EVERY DAY. Prayers for our Nation and all the ways in which we are broken right now. Teach us how to pray. Teach us how to intercede and how to do battle against our very real enemies. It IS a spiritual war; LORD JESUS, we trust YOU to go before us to defeat our enemies and the enemies of your people. GOD WINS! Have a blessed day! Good morning, The Bible Recap Daily Reading Exodus 30 - 32 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 40 The Account of the Golden Calf. Recently, a movie was released called "Babylon". A movie I won't see... but I know someone who was an extra in the movie, so this is the reason I know of it. I read a review that said that in this movie the early beginning days of Hollywood seems to be compared to this time of The Golden Calf when the children of Israel lost faith in God and thought Moses was gone forever so turned to a god of their own making in the form of a Golden Calf, to worship. Golden Calf. Golden Trophy. Interesting to me that someone in Hollywood decided to highlight the evil beginnings of something that most of us spent a lifetime enjoying... the movies. This site was originally designed to be an "Entertainment" site but not to glorify Hollywood, though I enjoy a good, clean movie with great storytelling as much as the next person. But instead, to highlight the people in the Entertainment world doing their very best to bring clean, family friendly and inspirational content to present as an alternative to the mainstream media and Hollywood/TV world. I'm a puzzle, because I do love good storytelling in the arts so can find enjoyment in some TV and movies that are out there in the mainstream. I'm a Christian who enjoys TV; I know I'm a rare bird. Maybe God has put a love for stuff like this inside of me because HE needs people who will not reject the industry completely because of the evil people who have taken hold of it so strongly, but instead will seek out the ones such as Dallas Jenkins and The Chosen, Bill Abbott and Great American Family, the folks at Pureflix and UPTV who really are striving to bring GOD's best back into the industry. One day, I will get back to my original mission. But until then, let's all rest assured that GOD WINS and as Tara-Leigh likes to always remind us, HE is where the JOY is! Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: Exodus 28 - 29 The Bible Recap Podcast for Day 39 Another one of those mornings for me. Will be doing the reading later today as time has gotten away, as it so often does. So far, I'm doing pretty well and keeping up though. The finale of Season 3 of The Chosen was pretty amazing. Jesus feeds the 5000. Wouldn't it have been amazing to be an extra in that scene. I'm sure most of those people were not actors, but instead volunteers. And the Jesus walks on water scene was actually quite well done. Anyway... the season is over, and we now have to wait for Season 4 which will start filming in late March. Prayers for the team responsible for this show. Honestly, it is a huge undertaking, and they all need a good rest, it sounds like from the Dallas Jenkins comments last night. Anyway, prayers for our homes, our families, our communities, our cities, our country and our world. We all belong to Jesus and HE is WHERE to JOY IS... GOD WINS. Always have to work the Tara-Leigh line in... because it makes me smile how every podcast ends with those words. Have a blessed day. Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: Exodus 25 - 17 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 38 The building of the Ark of the Covenant. I've always had a bit of trouble reading through all these details. God is a God of Detail - Tara Leigh reminds us, and these particular details are important because they are God giving himself a place to dwell among his people. Have a blessed day! Prayers for our Communities, our Country, the Nations of the world. I'm trusting that, in the end, God Wins. Good morning, The Bible Recap Daily Reading: Exodus 22 - 24 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 37 It's a Monday, so I wouldn't be ME if I wasn't running a bit late. But, I did make it through my reading. I actually did join a "Bible Recap" group that will give me folks to chat with participating in this reading, so the question is do I keep doing this on this page? It just doesn't really feel like anyone is participating. Let me know if this is appreciated or not. Anyway, prayers for our homes, our communities, our Nation and our World. Jesus we trust YOU in all things. Have a blessed day! Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: Exodus 19 - 21 The Bible Reading Podcast for Day 36 The Ten Commandments. Always a "meaty" subject. I think I might listen through this podcast a second time... and maybe do the reading a second time.... just because there is a lot here to understand. Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday. There is a livestream of Episode 7 of the Chosen at 7 pm. Will have more information up later today. Have a blessed Sunday! I can't believe that I missed my reading on the day that GOD parted the RED SEA! Huge moment. I liked in her God Shot yesterday, she said the words "I love that it was GOD that went to war with Egypt for HIS people - because when GOD is fighting our battles, GOD WINS." May have paraphrased that but it is a good word for today's world because I truly and honestly believe that GOD is in control of the mess our political leaders have made and GOD WILL defeat them in the end! The Bible Recap Reading: Exodus 16 - 18 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 35 I'm always struck at how easy it is for people who have just experienced deliverance and a true, sent from GOD miracle, to forget and to start complaining. "Why did you bring us out from Egypt to die?" God is long-suffering, isn't HE? He loves us anyway, even when we forget to be thankful. Even when we forget about HIS blessings to us. He just finds ways to remind us and to meet our everyday needs. In the case of the Children of Israel, Manna from heaven to keep HIS people well fed. Water, struck from a stone, to keep them hydrated. A cloud by day, to block the sun in the desert. A fire by night, to keep them warm. And still, the children of Israel complained. Such a clear picture of the human condition. GOD is truly where the JOY is; we would all do well to keep our eyes focused on JESUS and JESUS alone. Have a blessed day! Perfect song for today given to us by Keith Green a few decades ago. The Bible Recap Reading: Exodus 13 - 15 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 34. Sadly, I am getting a late start on this so will have to do my reading when I get home this evening. Hope you all have a blessed day. Prayers for our Country and in particular, our Church leaders will be my focus today. We all need to find a way to work in unity with each other. So that is my prayer for all those who truly love Jesus and have a working relationship with HIM. Have a blessed day! Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: Exodus 10 - 12 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 33 Not a lot of time this morning, but I did make sure to finish this reading today; the reading that explains all about Passover. The significance. The picture of the Cross. Hope you all got a chance to read along. Prayers for our homes, our families, our communities, our Nation, our world. Prayers that God would bring healing to the divisions among his people, those today who are Christians at war with other Christians. God bring peace to us all and help us all to see that GOD WINS no matter what. Give us all a discerning heart and a discerning mind and spirit so that we might see the difference between GOD'S truth and the lies from the enemy swirling around us. Have a blessed day! Good morning, Happy first day of February! The Bible Recap Daily Reading: Exodus 7 - 9 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 32 Today's reading focuses on those ten plagues that God used to bring judgement onto Egypt. In her show notes today, Tara-Leigh has given us a study that explains in detail each plague and what specific Egyptian god or goddess it was specifically addressing. For example, the frogs mentioned in the quote above... " The second plague, bringing frogs from the Nile, was a judgment against Heqet, the frog-headed goddess of birth. Frogs were thought to be sacred and not to be killed. God had the frogs invade every part of the homes of the Egyptians, and when the frogs died, their stinking bodies were heaped up in offensive piles all through the land (Exodus 8:13–14). If you are interested in knowing more, here is a link to that study: What was the meaning and purpose of the ten plagues of Egypt? | GotQuestions.org This is all interesting stuff to ponder while we watch the goings on in our world today and recognize that GOD WINS and is in complete control. And, of course, HE is where the JOY is! Thank you, Tara-Leigh for always reminding us of this truth. Have a blessed day! |
