Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: Exodus 4 - 6 The Bible Recap Podcast: Day 31 Always fun reading through the story of Moses. "Let My People Go"! I've often felt that we are experiencing our own, modern-day version of this story TODAY! Important to remember that GOD WINS. Every Time. We can trust in this truth. I'm getting to where this reading is mostly happening in the evening. I'm just not a morning person and never give myself enough time to do THIS before needing to get ready for work. However, I am staying on track so that the GOOD news. Have a blessed day!

Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: Exodus 1 - 3 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 30 Today we begin the book of Exodus... and my reading will have to wait till later today but never fear... I'll make sure to keep up. It's a Monday. Prayers for our Nation, our Communities, our Families. We are living in such interesting times. But if we keep our eyes focused on Jesus, we will always be able to remember that HE is where the JOY is. GOD WINS! Good morning, The Bible Recap reading: Genesis 48 - 50 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 29 "He's our King Jesus... and HE is where the joy is!" Tara-Leigh Cobble I love when Tara-Leigh points out the "Jesus" prophecies in the Old Testament. This is what helps ME stay engaged in wanting to know MORE. In the final chapters of Genesis, we have the blessing of Judah. The fourth son of Jacob. I found this study that explains in detail the significance of this, if anyone is interested in checking it out. I found it an enlightening and interesting read. Well, skim. I will read it in full later. Genesis 49:8-12 (The Blessing Upon Judah) – The Superior Word Have a blessed day! Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: Genesis 46 - 47 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 28 Day 28 finds us nearing the end of the Joseph story. Are you all reading along? I have a busy Saturday ahead of me and while I did do the reading, I must wonder why I'm so uninspired to comment. Too much on my mind, I guess. Prayers for us all as we are moving into what could be an amazing time in Earth's history. Flashpoint, on The Victory Channel... that is more what my mind is on today. The last few broadcasts have given me a lot to think and pray about concerning our Nation and God's plan moving forward... and exactly what it is, from a heavenly perspective, that we are watching unfold today. God IS where the JOY is... I'm keeping my feet firmly planted in HIS word as we move forward into 2023. Have a blessed day! Good morning, The Bible Recap reading: Genesis 43 - 45 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 27 I did make it through the reading today... YAY... heh. The reconciliation of Joseph to his brothers is always such an amazing read. To realize that God's plan was NEVER interrupted due to the jealousy and sin of his brothers; in fact, GOD used that horrendous act to position Joseph in a place of authority to get them through a harsh number of years. Just as his dream, all those years ago, that caused the jealousy of his brothers to become inflamed enough to want to do him harm, said would happen. God IS where the joy is. I love listening to her podcast because she is wonderful at pointing out things that I have never seen or thought about before. Wish I had more time... but alas, work is calling. Have a blessed day! Good Morning, The Bible Recap Reading: Genesis 41 and 42 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 26 Today we continue the story of Joseph. And, once again, I'll be doing my part of this later today. Seriously... running late again today. heh. Yesterday, I did catch up... the story of Joseph is always one I enjoy reading. I am determined to not get behind on this ... DETERMINED. heh. But will finish the reading later. Prayers for you all. Hope you have a blessed day and remember.... GOD IS WHERE THE JOY IS! Even when we have been sold into slavery, wrongfully accused, thrown into prison and forgotten about... GOD'S plan is still unfolding despite the sins of HIS people. Aren't you glad to know this? Have a blessed day! Good Morning, The Bible Recap Reading: Genesis 38 - 40 The Bible Recap Podcast for Day 25 The story of Joseph... God's perfect timing. Joseph, forgotten by his brothers but never forgotten by God. Instead used by God in just the way that Joseph dreamed about when he was young. Going off memory right now because I am not going to make it through this reading this morning. But I will get it done later today. Blessings to you all. Prayers for our Nation, our Families, our communities. Have a blessed day. Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: Genesis 35 - 37 The Bible Recap Podcast for Day 24 Joseph the Dreamer. Do you ever have dreams that seem significantly from God? I have. More than once. Actually, many many times. So, the story of Joseph is always an interesting read for me. Sometimes it is a good thing to "listen" to the voice of God in our dreams and to learn to know when your dream is from GOD or just the result of "too much pizza", as my husband likes to say. I've had both. I always know when the dream affects me so deeply that I remember ever detail. When reading through this passage of scripture, pay special attention to Reuben. The oldest brother who stepped in to save the life of Joseph so that he might restore him to his FATHER. A picture of Jesus? As Tara points out? Something to ponder as we remember that GOD is where the JOY is! Wish I had time to elaborate. But have to go now. Have a blessed day. Good morning, Today's Bible Recap Reading: Genesis 32 - 34 The Bible Recap Day 23 Podcast I didn't quite make it all the way through this today so will have to finish this evening. I need to do some thinking about this site. Advertise better to draw a few more people in to help it flourish? Or, let it go. Or continue has we have been. It is a nice way for me to have a reason to remember to stay on track with The Bible Recap... otherwise, I'd be tempted to skip days and get behind. That right there might be one reason to keep it going. Anyway... I appreicate the few of you who drop in. But, I admit, I haven't really had the time to work out ways to draw more people in. Praying about it but in the meantime..... Have a blessed day. Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: Genesis 30 and 31 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 22 "God is kind to sinners". Is Tara's God Shot in these two passages. It amazes me how she is teaching me to see these stories through different eyes. How many times have I read through them... never really trying to see the truth of God's character underneath. The mercy of GOD is here in full glory reminding us, through Tara' recap, that HE is where the JOY is. Short on time today. Prayers for our families, our communities, our Nation, our World. Remember no "The Chosen" tonight. Livestreams will resume on February 5th. Good Morning, The Bible Recap Reading: Genesis 27 - 29 The Bible Recap Podcast: Day 21 "God's sovereignty over the sins of man." This story of Jacob and Esau has always been a puzzle to me. Jacob is the youngest. Esau is the oldest but does not take the idea of "birthrights" and "blessings" seriously, obvious since he gave his birthright away for a bowl of soup. Rebekah loves her younger son most and manipulates the situation to make sure that it is HE who gets the blessing. Is that not sin on her part? Was not Jacob participating in that manipulation sin on HIS part? Then why did GOD let the deception stand? I suppose this is where you need to look deeper. If I had paid attention in Chapter 25, I would have seen where God said that the "younger would serve the older". It was GOD's plan for Jacob to get the birthright and would have happened with or without the manipulation of Rebekah. Issaac KNEW this... but still wanted to give the birthright to Esau, the firstborn. So that could be considered sin too as both his plan and Rebekah's plan were a bit at war with each other. Despite the deception, God's plan still stayed on track, despite the sins of his chosen people. Ah well.. Tara-Leigh's explanation made sense to me and she explained it so much better in the podcast. And as always, we got a reminder that GOD is where the JOY is. Have a blessed day. Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: Genesis 25 - 26 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 20 For anyone reading along with me, hope you are finding this a worthwhile use of your time. And while we haven't really been engaging in much conversation so far, maybe at some point we will have more folks who wish to read and discuss. Tara-Leigh Cobble, our host, took a minute on this podcast to say "please... research scripture yourself as I am NOT the final word." And she's right. People should read and study for themselves. I enjoy hearing her take on what we are reading though... it gives me something to think about. Prayers for our world, our communities, our Nation... and, in particular, I'd appreciate prayers over this little sickness of mine. It's not the worst thing ever but it is interfering with my life at the moment. Have a blessed day. Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: Genesis 22 - 24 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 19 Got the reading in but not the podcast. Still battling a cold... ugh. Will get the podcast in later today. Prayers for our nation, our families, our homes, our communities. And may we all be willing to GO... when God call us to GO... as Rebekah was. Can you imagine? If someone came to me today and said, "God called me to come to you and ask if I could take your daughter to some foreign land to marry my Master"... I'd call the police. heh. The faith of Rebekah and her family to trust that this was GOD's plan for her... amazes me. Can't wait to hear the recap. But it will have to wait. Have a blessed day! The Bible Recap Reading: Genesis 19 - 21 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 18 All caught up! But now out of time to really comment. Need to get ready for work but the great news is I'm feeling a lot better today. A bit of a cold kind of sidelined my day yesterday; but it is quickly clearing up and getting better. God IS where the joy is. A lot of uncomfortable truths in today's passage; and a lot of examples of wicked behavior... we are not alone. If we can remember that GOD loves us and is willing to forgive us for all of our wrongdoings, then we will NEVER forget that GOD is where the JOY is. I love that she ends every single podcast with those words. Such a great reminder. Have a blessed day! Good morning, The Bible Recap reading: Genesis 16 through 18 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 17 I think I'm going to do my reading after work... just don't have time to focus this morning and am feeling a bit under the weather. But I am committed to not getting behind. I just want to be able to focus on what I'm reading. I did listen to the recap though... some interesting information there. Would love to read any comments you might have. Blessings to you all. Prayers for our Nation, our Communities, our Families. And prayers for commitment to spending time learning about God through HIS word... the Bible. Have a blessed day. |
