Good morning, The Bible Recap reading Psalm 102 - 104 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 120 Well, still haven't really caught up with this but I do love getting a look at all the Psalms. It makes sense that during a chronological read, the Psalms will be interspersed with the story of King David. So many encouraging words in the book of Psalms.... Psalm 103 Bless the Lord, my soul, And all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the Lord, my soul, And do not forget any of His benefits; Who pardons all your guilt, Who heals all your diseases; Who redeems your life from the pit, Who crowns you with favor and compassion; Who satisfies your [a]years with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle. The Lord performs [b]righteous deeds And judgments for all who are oppressed. He made known His ways to Moses, His deeds to the sons of Israel. The Lord is compassionate and gracious, Slow to anger and abounding in mercy. He will not always contend with us, Nor will He keep His anger forever. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor rewarded us according to our guilty deeds. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who [c]fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our wrongdoings from us. Just as a father has compassion on his children, So the Lord has compassion on those who [d]fear Him. For He Himself knows [e]our form; He is mindful that we are nothing but dust. As for man, his days are like grass; Like a flower of the field, so he flourishes. When the wind has passed over it, it is no more, And its place no longer knows about it. But the [f]mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting for those who [g]fear Him, And His justice to the children’s children, To those who keep His covenant And remember His precepts, so as to do them. The Lord has established His throne in the heavens, And His [h]sovereignty rules over [i]all. Bless the Lord, you His angels, Mighty in strength, who perform His word, Obeying the voice of His word! Bless the Lord, all you His [j]angels, You who serve Him, doing His will. Bless the Lord, all you works of His, In all places of His dominion; Bless the Lord, my soul! Love prophetic words! This might be a more appropriate place to post the videos. :-}}

Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: 1 Chronicles 7 - 10 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 119 A little bit distracted this morning. Normally don't make a lot of Saturday plans in favor of having a good day at home to putter around after a busy work week but today is the exception, as next week will be. You see, I have a daughter graduating from college next week. My youngest daughter. Suddenly feeling quite old. heh. But thankful. And praying daily for God's wisdom to rule in the hearts of all three of them. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Proverbs 9:10 Have a blessed day! Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: Psalm 81, 88, 92-93 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 118 Psalm 81 1 Sing for joy to God our strength; shout aloud to the God of Jacob! 2 Begin the music, strike the timbrel, play the melodious harp and lyre. 3 Sound the ram’s horn at the New Moon, and when the moon is full, on the day of our festival; 4 this is a decree for Israel, an ordinance of the God of Jacob. 5 When God went out against Egypt, he established it as a statute for Joseph. I heard an unknown voice say: 6 “I removed the burden from their shoulders; their hands were set free from the basket. 7 In your distress you called and I rescued you, I answered you out of a thundercloud; I tested you at the waters of Meribah.[c] 8 Hear me, my people, and I will warn you-- if you would only listen to me, Israel! 9 You shall have no foreign god among you; you shall not worship any god other than me. 10 I am the Lord your God, who brought you up out of Egypt. Open wide your mouth and I will fill it. 11 “But my people would not listen to me; Israel would not submit to me. 12 So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts to follow their own devices. 13 “If my people would only listen to me, if Israel would only follow my ways, 14 how quickly I would subdue their enemies and turn my hand against their foes! 15 Those who hate the Lord would cringe before him, and their punishment would last forever. 16 But you would be fed with the finest of wheat; with honey from the rock I would satisfy you.” Have a blessed day! Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: 1 Chronicles 6 The Bible Recap Podcast: Day 117 PSALM 11 In the Lord I take refuge; How can you say to my soul, “Flee as a bird to your mountain? For, behold, the wicked bend the bow, They have [a]set their arrow on the string To shoot in darkness at the upright in heart. If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do?” The Lord is in His holy temple; the [b]Lord’s throne is in heaven; His eyes see, His eyelids test the sons of mankind. The Lord tests the righteous and the wicked, And His soul hates one who loves violence. He will rain [c]coals of fire upon the wicked, And brimstone and burning wind will be the portion of their cup. For the Lord is righteous, He loves [d]righteousness; The upright will see His face. Busy day ahead...enjoy the Psalm and Have a blessed day! Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: 1 Chronicles 3 - 5 The Bible Recap Podcast: Day 115 Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the Lord. Blessed are those who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart-- they do no wrong but follow his ways. You have laid down precepts that are to be fully obeyed. Oh, that my ways were steadfast in obeying your decrees! Then I would not be put to shame when I consider all your commands. I will praise you with an upright heart as I learn your righteous laws. I will obey your decrees; do not utterly forsake me. How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word. I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. Praise be to you, Lord; teach me your decrees. With my lips I recount all the laws that come from your mouth. I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches. I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways. I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word. I'm really short on time so will allow Psalm 119 to speak for us today. Psalm 119 NIV - Psalm 119 - א Aleph Blessed are those - Bible Gateway Have a blessed day! I'm becoming quite a Zach Williams fan. I had never heard of him until his songs kept popping up in my Third Day Radio playlist. Enjoy. Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: Psalm 43-45, 49, 84-85, 87 The Bible Recap Podcast: Day 114 "If you don't stay alert, anxious feelings can slip into your day without you even noticing them. How much better it is to catch "worry thoughts" before they take hold of you. If you are watchful and alert, you can choose to take refuse in me whenever anxiety comes at you." Jesus Calling Devotional, Sarah Young. Busy week calling. I'm approaching it with a bit of dread, I admit. Trusting GOD to make it okay and to help me keep a good attitude through it. Have a blessed day! Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: 1 Chronicles 1 - 2 The Bible Recap Podcast: Day 113 "In order to know my will, you MUST spend time with me. This is not a difficult task, but a delightful privilege." excerpt from Jesus Calling Devotional, Sarah Young I know I could do better. Lord help me. Beginning with making it to Church on time. So I will make this short and sweet. Have a blessed day! Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: Psalm 6, 8-10, 14, 16, 19, 21 The Bible Recap Podcast: Day 112 Getting a late start today. Sorry. A day off. An early morning thunderstorm. Sleepy kittens keeping me warm. How can one be expected to get up early with all that going on? "Listen to me continually. I have much to communicate with you. So many people and situations in need of prayer". Jesus Calling Devotional, Sarah Young. Truth. In today's world, so much in need or prayer. In every corner of the earth. GOD WINS! But we still need to pray. Psalm 8 Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory in the heavens. Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor. You made them rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their feet: all flocks and herds, and the animals of the wild, the birds in the sky, and the fish in the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas. Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! Have a blessed day! Good morning, The Bible Recap reading: 2 Samuel 1 - 4 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 111 I'm getting close to being almost fully caught up. I'm at Day 109. Saturday morning is a good day to play catch up and I must say... I'm pleased with myself that I have be diligent about staying with this. I do feel like I need better focus, but I am happy that I'm still motivated. Which brings me to the Jesus calling devotional today which begins with the words "Let me control your mind, for the mind is the most restless and unruly part of mankind". It IS true that even if you have been a Christian for decades like me, our enemy can still put his deceptive thoughts in our minds and for this reason, we need to be able to exercise good discernment to know just who it is speaking to us. This is why spending time in GOD'S word is so important. When you are actively seeking to hear the voice of GOD, HIS VOICE can drown out the voice of our enemy who wants to find ways to deceive us. How lovely is your dwelling place, OH LORD ALMIGHTY! Have a blessed day. Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: Psalm 121, 123-125, 130 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 110 "Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Hear me saying Peace, Be Still to your restless heart. No matter what happens, I will NEVER leave your or forsake you. Let this assurance soak into your mind and heart until you overflow with joy. Though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, you need not fear". Jesus Calling Devotional, Sarah Young Busy day at work calling. Have a blessed day! God is good. I picked the Zach Williams song BEFORE I read the devotional today. Apparently, we ALL need to know that we need not fear. GOD WINS. Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: 1 Samuel 28-31, Psalm 18 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 109 God's way IS perfect. Even if hard for our human minds to comprehend at times. Short on time today, really. Prayers for our families, our communities, our Nation and our world. In today's world, it is becoming increasingly important for Christians to PRAY! Dutch Sheets had a wonderful "Give Him 15" this morning... perhaps I will let HIM give us a devotional this morning. Have a blessed day! Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: Psalm 17, 35, 54, 63 The Bible Recap Podcast: Day 108 Psalm 63 - One of my favorite Psalms. You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you. On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night. Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. I cling to you; your right hand upholds me. Those who want to kill me will be destroyed; they will go down to the depths of the earth. They will be given over to the sword and become food for jackals. But the king will rejoice in God; all who swear by God will glory in him, while the mouths of liars will be silenced. And I can't read through it without hearing this beautiful song by Rich Mullins which has become a worship song around the world. Also, one of my favorites. I'm letting it all speak for itself today. Enjoy and have a blessed day! Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: 1 Samuel 25 - 27 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 107 "Too many things interrupt your awareness of me." Jesus Calling Devotional, Sarah Young. Boy, isn't that the truth. Every day. I'm trying but "focus" is really not a strong suit for me sometimes. Lord, help me do better. Already out of time. Have a blessed day! Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: Psalm 56, 120, 140-142 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 106 Psalm 121 I lift up my eyes to the mountains-- where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip-- he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you-- the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm-- he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. Have a blessed day! |
