Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading Deuteronomy 14 - 16 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 75 All caught up! But now needing to get to work. At least we are nearing the weekend, it's just that the final two days of the week are the busiest for me at work. I do feel a sense of accomplishment though, that I have not let myself fall so far behind on this that I am tempted to give up. In the past, I had been in the habit of "listening" to the Bible through YouVersion or something. This time... I'm actually reading it myself and for some reason that is liberating for me. My mind wanders too much when I listen, is the problem. Or I multi-task so never really retain anything. When I READ it for myself, without any distractions, only then can I really follow the content well. I'm only speaking for ME; others may not have the same issue. Anyway, hope you all have a wonderful day! GOD WINS! And HE is where the Joy is! Tara-Leigh's reminder remains my favorite part of the morning.

Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: Deuteronomy 11 - 13 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 74 Moses reminding the children of Israel where they have been and what they have been through so they can more fully appreciate the beauty of where God is taking them and stand in awe of their GOD who brought them there and all the miracles HE performed for them along the way. We could all use a reminder like that from time to time, don't you think? Have a blessed day and remember JESUS is where the JOY is. God Wins. Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: Deuteronomy 8 - 10 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 73 The final words of Moses before the Israelites finally are able to enter into the promised land that God had prepared for them. I think most of my Bible in one Year efforts have ended before now, so I'm really excited about moving into areas of the Old Testament that I've skimmed or heard a lot of teachings about but have never actually studied for myself. With a few exceptions. I love the book of Ruth and have read through it many times. Anyway, I wish I had more time... but work is calling very loudly. Have a blessed day and remember... HE is where the JOY is and... GOD WINS. Have a blessed day! Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: Deuteronomy 5 - 7 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 72 "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength." Deuteronomy 6:4, 5 Something about being reminded about this passage of scripture makes me want to pull out my copies of Bodie Thoene's "Zion Chronicles" book and relive her wonderful historical look at the fight for a Jewish Nation post World War II. Have you ever read those books. She has written so many, but this five-book series was my first introduction to her work. Worth the read, if you haven't already. I'm mostly caught up. I listened to the video today without actually having read the full reading for today and you know what that did for me? Made me excited to get it accomplished. I was so many days behind. But I am caught up right to the beginning of Chapter 5 so will finish it tonight. Have a blessed day! Good morning, You know.... I am still behind on The Bible Recap and they started Deuteronomy without me. I WILL be catching up today. Honestly, yesterday got away from me. An unexpected family event happened which was GOOD and fun, but now my Sunday has a lot of catching up to do in it... so I shall put GOD first, then get busy. Hope you all have a wonderful and blessed Sunday. Good morning, Catching up on The Bible Recap this morning. A busy week at work got me a little bit behind but... that is what Saturday is for, right? Catching up. On a lot of things. My inspiration for this page is struggling. I admit. Still unsure what to do with it... and I am considering taking a break from the daily page while I figure out what the purpose of this page should be. If I can come up with a plan to get it back to its original purpose, I will start moving that direction. Stay tuned, I guess. Have a blessed day. Good morning, Having a lot of issue with my computer this morning. Making this take a lot longer than I have time for so... blessings to you all. And a special blessing to my laptop which can't seem to stay functioning correctly for more than a few minutes. Sidenote: I think the issue is the newly acquired vpn slowing my system down immensely. Too late to get my money back on it and it does have it uses for other things besides online security but... I'm quickly losing patience with the sluggishness of the system which only because a REAL issue after the 30-day money back guarantee expired. Anyway... the peace of GOD on us all and help us all to hear HIS voice and HIS voice alone in this time. GOD WINS! One of my favorite Rich Mullins songs to reset my mood after all this frustration. Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: Number 33 - 34 The Bible Recap Podcast for Day 68 I really do want to find a way to get this site back to its original purpose, which WAS to highlight things in the world of faith and family entertainment. My way of supporting those who are trying to bring inspirational content as an alternative to the mainstream entertainment world. The spirit is willing... the flesh is oh so very weak. Somehow, the task has proven to be very difficult. Will give it some real thought over the weekend. A day behind on the Bible Recap... but will catch up today. Prayers for our Nation and the Nations of the world. A lot of interesting things going on out there. God is in control. God Wins. Have a blessed day. Good morning, Remember this old worship song... one from ages ago. "You are my hiding place; You always fill my heart; with songs of deliverance; whenever I feel afraid, I will trust in YOU; I will trust in YOU; Let the weak say I Am STRONG, in the strength of the LORD I will trust in you." Not sure why it popped in my head this morning but maybe simply because we all need the reminder. GOD is our Protector, our Savior, our Deliverer. And GOD WINS. Have a blessed day! Good morning, Blessings to you all and prayers for our Nation as we move into Spring. I love Spring... I don't love the allergies that come with it... but I love the beautiful weather, the blooming, flowering trees. The flowers blooming everywhere, even though I am the world's worst gardener. I love to look at all the beauty outside. Working towards the end of Numbers in The Bible Recap. I won't lie. Hard to read through some of this with full understanding of what it all means. Thankful for Tara-Leigh to help me understand and to remind me that God IS where the joy is! God Wins! Have a blessed day! Good morning, Having a few issues with computer cooperation this morning. Technology is not always your friend. Hope you all have a wonderful Monday. Prayers for our Country, our Cities, our World. God Wins. Have a blessed day! I was reminded yesterday of the powerful message in this beautiful song by Casting Crowns. "Who Am I" Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth Would care to know my name, Would care to feel my hurt? Who am I, that the Bright and Morning Star Would choose to light the way For my ever wandering heart? Not because of who I am, But because of what You've done. Not because of what I've done, But because of who You are. I am a flower quickly fading: Here today and gone tomorrow. A wave tossed in the ocean, A vapor in the wind. Still You hear me when I'm calling. Lord, You catch me when I'm falling. And You've told me who I am. I am Yours, I am Yours. Who am I, that the eyes that see my sin Would look on me with love and watch me rise again? Who am I, that the voice that calmed the sea Would call out through the rain And calm the storm in me? Not because of who I am, But because of what You've done. Not because of what I've done, But because of who You are. Have a blessed day! Good morning, A special service at church this morning is making me need to do this quickly! Hope you all have a blessed day. Will drop in later this afternoon to check in. In the meantime, a good day to be reminded of my favorite Psalm. Have a blessed day! Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: Numbers 21 - 22 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 63 Fun seeing all the reports of the aftermath of the release of "Jesus Revolution", even among the secular media. Have you seen the movie yet? This will be one when I get the DVD, I'll want to share it with as many people as I can find to share it with. The hand of GOD is on this one. So many favorite moments but one that stands out to me is when Chuck Smith is being confronted by his "board" about the Hippies being allowed in... one said... "Most of them aren't even wearing shoes. They are ruining the shag carpet". From Chuck. "So, it's the carpet we are worried about saving." Of course, the underlying message there is we SHOULD be more concerned about saving their souls, who cares about the carpet. Can't wait to see it again. So much to love in this movie. Of course, the secular media and Hollywood can't understand how a movie about JESUS could be resonating so well with people. Third at the box office last weekend, far exceeding what was projected for its opening weekend. 99% on Rotten Tomatoes, the ranking system that seems to be the one most people go by when seeing how successful a movie is. And, of course, as with all Jesus focused things (including The Chosen), there are the Pharisees of the day out there trying to "expose "it as somehow evil. Don't believe it, folks. This movie presents the gospel clearly and gives a clear picture of a real time in history that truly did launch a move of God. It's a miracle unfolding in our generation. This coupled with all the news of "revivals" popping up all over the place on college campuses and in Churches. It's an amazing time we are living in, folks. Don't miss it! Would love to see the old guard of Hollywood thoroughly defeated and a NEW guard, producing wonderful movies such as Jesus Revolution to take root. Movies are a language that most people understand and a great way to spread the Gospel. This movie proves my point. Thank you, Jesus for raising up YOUR people in an industry that has been, for so long, governed by evil. Have a blessed day! Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: Numbers 18 - 20 The Bible Recap Podcast Hope you all have a fabulous Friday. Mine is starting off a little frustrating. Love my kitties, but they are distracting me from getting this done quickly. Trying to read my reading for today, and they won't let me. I can't focus with the constant distraction. So will finish it this evening... hopefully when they are napping. My workday is always filled with constant distractions and interruptions. You'd think I'd be used to it by now. But these beautiful little kittens are relentless. At least it is almost the weekend. Prayers for our Nation, our world. Our families. Our friends. Our communities. Have a blessed day! God Wins! Good morning, The Bible Recap Reading: Numbers 16 - 17 The Bible Recap Podcast Day 61 Having a difficult time coming up with anything meaningful to say.... I admit, I am struggling with keeping this site going. Praying for inspiration. Keeping up with my Bible Reading. Help me, Jesus, to speak YOUR heart always. But if it is time to take a break to figure out what YOUR plan is for this site, perhaps I should do that. "Make My Life a Prayer to YOU"... Jesus. I've always loved this song by Keith Green. |
